My elementary years began at Centerview Elementary School (Newport, TN) where I attended grades K-5. My sixth grade year, I transferred to Northwest Elementary and shortly after, Meadowview Elementary. My seventh grade year, I returned to Centerview Elementary then finished my eighth grade year at Meadowview Middle School.

My secondary years, I began as a freshman at Cocke County High School then transferred to Morristown-Hamblen East during my sophomore year. I graduated in 1989.

Ten years later, I applied to Walters State Community College and graduated from Tusculum College with a Bachelor's in Arts degree in Elementary Education. In 2005, I graduated from Tusculum College with a Master's of Arts degree in Education. In 2010, I gradated from Lincoln Memorial University and earned my Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision.

I began my teaching career in Cocke County in 2003 at Grassy for Elementary which is a very small rural school (Hartford, TN).  While teaching at Grassy Fork,  I  taught a K/1 split for 5 years.

In 2008, I transferred to Centerview Elementary School.  During my 7 years at Centerview, I taught a self-contained 1st grade, 1st grade Math class, and 1st grade ELA and 5th grade Social Studies and Science, as well as serving as the RTI Site Coordinator and the Assistant Principal.

In March 2015, I made a bold decision to "walk in faith" and I was blessed to be offered a 5th grade interim position. In June of 2015, I was blessed again by becoming an official WILDCAT!!

I grew up in the Point Pleasant Community located in Newport, Tennessee which is located on the Cocke County and Hamblen County line. My parents are Sanford and Doris Henry and Toby and the late Phyllis Price. I have 2 sisters and 2 stepbrothers. I married my high school sweetheart, Lee Shepard, and we have been married 27 years. We have two children, Wesley and Heather.

I  reside in Russellville with my husband, Lee, our daughter, my sister and nephew, and my husband's grandmother, and our three cats, Binks, Percy, and Persephone, and our two grandpups, Lilly and Aura. My favorite color is lime green. My favorite childhood books are Little Women and Amelia Bedelia. Recently, I have come to enjoy Erin Hilderbrand's books. I enjoy swimming, spending time spoiling my nephew and niece, Kylan and Kaylee. I enjoy attending football games at the University of Tennessee with my family. As I get older, I am learning how much I enjoy spending time just relaxing at home with my family. My family and I are members of Russellville Baptist Church and I teach Sunday School to the girls who are in third through fifth grade.

I am "BLESSED" to be part of the WILDCAT family and the Faiview ~ Margurite Community!!
